Direct-Mount Installation System
YellowFIN™ patent-pending flood panels and aluminum frame system installs directly into masonry, concrete, or CMU walls, eliminating the need for surface-mounted posts.
How YellowFIN™ Flood Panels Work:
316L Marine Grade Stainless Steel precision anchors are used to install the panel to a wall, sill and ground.
YellowFIN multi-layer composite panels are positioned and secured using turn-bolt fasteners, with latch-lock gaskets on the back of the panels for a tight seal.
Tightening the turn bolts compresses the HDPE seals in between each panel, on the back and underside, pressurizing them against the structure for a watertight seal.
The flood panels are secured to both the wall and the floor, creating a continuous solid seal that prevents water ingress along joints and edges.
This dual-attachment design maintains structural integrity under hydrostatic pressure and ensures a reliable, watertight barrier for doors, openings, sills, garages and low walls—reducing flood risk and minimizing cleanup and repair costs.
The result is a secure, water-tight flood barrier with minimal permanent hardware and no permanent visible posts.

Why Protect Against Flooding With YellowFIN™ Flood Panels?
Modular & Configurable
Standard and custom flood panel sizes, custom filler pieces, corner extrusions, and a durable lock-latching system allow for protection of virtually any area and layout.Durable & Reusable
Panels are engineered for durability, and can be cleaned, stored, and deployed again and again as needed.100% USA-Made
Composite panels, metal extrusions, seals, and hardware are manufactured in the United States. Fabrication is completed in Pompano Beach, Florida, at our high-tech manufacturing facility.
Architectural Appearance
Flood Panels mount directly to the structure and are clean, smooth, and aesthetically appealing. No vertical posts required, only receiver holes can be seen and optional decorative caps minimize visibility.High Structural Rigidity
Fiberglass-reinforced, multi-layer honeycomb composite panels are framed by a durable aluminum extrusion that resists flexure under load.Impact Resistant
Panels and industrial-grade 6063-T6 aluminum frames are designed to handle heavy debris impact without cracking or deformation.
Engineered Panel Construction
YellowFIN™ flood panels are built around a fiberglass-reinforced, multi-layer composite panel with a honeycomb core that delivers excellent stiffness-to-weight performance. Each panel is framed used Garrison’s patent-pending sealed aluminum framing method, forming a rigid perimeter that distributes hydrostatic pressure evenly and prevents panel deflection.
Unlike flat, unsupported panels, YellowFIN’s U-shaped aluminum framing system reinforces the entire panel edge — dramatically increasing strength and long-term durability, while preventing bowing under pressure.
*It is important to confirm that your structure can withstand the hydrostatic pressure of a flood for dry floodproofing standards. Consult with local PE (Professional Engineer).
Deployment & Storage
Panels are lightweight and manageable by 1–2 people.
YellowFIN™ flood panels store flat and are stackable, making deployment quick and simple.
Flood panels are easy to clean using standard cleaning materials.
No system degradation from repeated use or installations.
Panels and aluminum framing Will not warp, rot, crack or delaminate — even in tropical conditions.
Flood Panel Mounting:
YellowFIN™ flood panels are typically mounted outside of an opening and bolted to the perimeter jam of the door, window or garage being protected using star-shaped turn knobs.
The bottom aluminum footer extrusion, which extends away from the opening, is bolted to the ground or sill below.
Innovative latch-lock mechanism and HDPR gaskets on the sides, back and underside of the panels creates a watertight seal.
For installations where there are obstructions such as door handles, air conditioning units or other protrusions, a U-shaped or box-shaped panel configuration may be used to clear the obstruction. A spacer extrusion can also be added to space the panel out and away from the wall.
Kicker support legs may be added for longer flood barrier spans, providing additional hydrostatic and hydrodynamic resistance.

Simple Installation and Set Up
Align Panels and Mark and Drill Wall Mount Holes
Position the YellowFIN panels against the wall, in front of your opening, such that the panel overlaps the sides of the opening and is pressed firmly against the wall.
Use the pre-drilled holes in the aluminum frame to mark the location of the mounting holes on the wall.
Remove the panel.
Drill the mounting holes on the wall 1/8” LOWER than the marked location. (This is so that the panel is properly positioned on the wall when the bottom bolts are bolted down).
Clean the drilled holes fully before inserting the anchor bolts into the wall.
Insert and lock the drop-in anchor bolts. It is advisable to use epoxy to help reinforce the drop-in receiver.
Mark and Drill Ground Mount Holes
Place panel firmly against the wall and press downward on the panel, pressurizing the footer seal as much as possible. It is useful to use your foot to press down on the lip of the aluminum footer extrusion to maintain pressure.
Insert the wall turn bolts through the panel and into the receivers.
Tighten bolts down until the panel is firmly attached and secured to the wall.
Mark the location of the ground mount holes.
Remove the panel and drill the ground mounting hole at their exact locations.
Clean the drilled hole fully before inserting the anchor bolts into the ground.
Insert and lock the drop-in anchor bolt into the ground.
Install and Tighten Down YellowFIN™ Panels
Alternate between ground bolts and turn-bolts, tightening each down in a staggered rotation. This is similar to how one tightens down bolts when changing a tire. *Do not fully tighten any single bolt to its maximum right away.
Use the included Allen Wrench to tighten the M12 bolts into the bottom foot aluminum extrusion and into the ground receiver anchors below.
Twist the turn-bolts manually to tighten them down into the wall receiver anchors.
Continue to tighten down until the panel seals are fully pressurized against both the wall and the ground below.
Custom Panel Colors and Panel Printed Graphics Available!
For enhanced aesthetics, each YellowFIN™ fiberglass composite panel can be customized to match the color of your wall, building, door or entryway. Custom images, logos, graphics or signage can be added for advertising or branding and is affixed to the FRP panels, which can be replaced as needed to change themes.

For initial installation and to attach panels to either side of the opening to be protected, have a hammer drill ready to drill the necessary holes for the drop in anchor bolts.
When installing flood panels in advance of a flood, use our included Allen wrench to tighten down planks and to secure the upper locking plate.
Turnbolts are tightened manually and do not require tools.
-
The YellowFIN™ composite flood barrier is manufactured using high quality extruded 6063 T-6 Aluminum extrusions and a composite fiberglass panel with a honeycomb core. Hardware is made from stainless steel. Components are designed to be durable as well as weather and rust resistant.
-
The bottom of YellowFIN™ flood planels have rubber EPDM seals, which create a strong seal with the ground below. The backs of the side extrusions also have EPDM seals to seal against the wall when the panel is installed. Some consideration should be given to uneven ground surfaces as the panel is inflexible and while there is some flexibility to the EPDM seal, the ground should be patched and relatively level to achieve a good seal off.
In situations where there are pavers in sand, gravel, or dirt as a subsurface, it is important to add a concrete footer underneath the YellowFIN bottom extrusion to ensure a good seal.
This footer should extend across the entire width of the barrier.
The footer should be positioned right up against your structure, to ensure a good connection and seal off. If the footer is being placed between two property walls, make sure that it is positioned to abut these walls to create a secure seal.

The YellowFin™ composite flood panel can handle floods up to 8ft with custom panels that can be designed for up to 10ft of protection.
-
Allow about an hour to install the panel anchors to either side of your opening and to attach the panels and kickers for the first installation. Installation of panels happens in minutes, with a few extra minutes to tighten down each panel with turnbolts and foot with M12 anchor bolts.
-
The BlueFIN™ flood barrier can go up to 8ft in a single panel and can be extended using multiple panels connected together to create a longer barriers.
Kicker legs are used to support panels and are placed at the intersection of two connected panels, providing additional hydrostatic and hydrodynamic loading capabilities.
Depending on the height of the barrier being installed, we may recommend an additional support buttress, shorter panel widths or additional kickers legs at the jam of the opening.
-
Depending on your specific scenario, you can install the YellowFIN either on the inside or the outside of the opening to be protected. We tend to prefer outside installations, as the wall behind the post offers additional support and it provides a wider margin for errir, but if your wall is very straight and exact measurements are provided, it is possible to install YellowFIN panels inside the opening.
Whichever mounting method you choose, confirm that the flood panels will clear any hinges, molding, or door hardware.

-
Yes - we offer 90 degree turn sections that allow you to make a turn. This is ideal when using YellowFIN™ to protect an entire perimeter.
-
YellowFIN™ panels need to be installed on a flat and durable surface, so that a good seal is created between the wall and the post. When installing panels, we suggest creating a smooth surface to receive the panels. This may require some grinding or smoothing of brick or stone surfaces to create a level surface for installation.
-
You can hose down or pressure wash the panels after use, making sure to clear away any stuck on debris. Be careful not to disturb the damage the rubber seals if using a pressure washer.
Standard household cleaners can be used to clean stubborn dirt.
Stack sections after they are completely dry.
