The Guppy™ water filled flood tube provides an easy and effective water barrier that will help protect against dangerous flooding. Use these water filled aqua dams to redirect water and to prevent flood damage at homes, offices, factories, events and municipal buildings.
Each water filled flood control tube becomes heavy with water when filled, creating a durable, heavy duty temporary water barrier berm that protects against rising flood waters.
Guppy™ is available in 6”, 12” and 24” diameters as well as 10ft, 25ft, 50ft and 100ft lengths. Our Guppy™ MAX supersized water filled flood control tubes are 40” in diameter and 30ft long, providing flexible large-scale flood protection.
For tent and event use, we offer White tubes.
Once finished, Guppy™ easily drains, rolls up and stores to be reused over and over again, whenever a flood threat arises.

Simple Set Up

Locate the black fill cap on the end of the Guppy™
Insert a standard garden hose and fill until Guppy™ becomes round
Guppy™ Tips
The fill hole has back-flow protection to stop water from leaking when removing hose.
Be sure not to overfill Guppy™, allow flexibility for the environment.
Drain the Guppy™
Locate the translucent drainage cap on the other end of the Guppy™ from the fill hole.
Remove drainage cap and allow Guppy™ to completely drain.
Depress the back-flow tab on the fill hole to drain water from the other side. Roll tube to be sure all water is removed from the tube before storage. If below freezing temperatures are expected, you can add a small amount of automotive anti-freeze to the fill to protect your water dam in cold weather.
Guppy Seaming Strip Connectors - Various Lengths
Use the Guppy seaming strip to connect two standard Guppy tubes. Combine tube sections to create a longer, extended and seamless protective barrier.
Each durable seaming strip includes industrial velcro that allows the seaming section to wrap around adjacent tubes and connect to create a seal. Seaming strips help ensure that the tubes remain connected and aligned, to minimize any leaks or gaps that may allow water to enter.
Each Guppy seaming strip is reusable and manufactured using high quality composite PVC mesh material that is UV treated, waterproof, anti-static, and chemical and oil resistant.
The Guppy Seaming Strip easily connects flood tubes to create a longer continuous flood barrier.
Seaming Strip Connectors are Available in 6", 12" and 24" to match the equivalent Guppy tube size.

Yes, the Guppy is able to be used to control, contain and divert chemicals, oils, water and more. Of course, check that the chemicals expected do not affect PVC fabric material.

Yes, we recommend adding in a small amount of RV anti-freeze for below freezing temperatures and not filling all the way to capacity. When winter conditions are expected, we recommend filling tubes to about 3/4 full.

The Guppy tubes are fairly lightweight before filled with water, so most tubes can be easily carried and transported by hand (larger tubes would benefit from a dolly). When full, the tubes get quite heavy and become more difficult to handle, so we suggest careful placement of tubes prior to filling.

The Guppy was designed to be filled with a standard garden hose, however the hose is not screwed into the opening. Simply lay the end of the hose into the fill valve to fill Guppy.

Depending on the size of the tube and the flow of your water source, the Guppy could take anywhere from 10 to several hours to fill with a standard garden hose. A typical flow rate for a garden hose is 7-8 gallons per minute. You can see how many gallons are in each tube size on the chart on the Guppy page HERE.

You will notice the Guppy rounding out and achieving the full diameter. Be sure not to overfill the flood tube to allow for some flexibility in contouring to the environment.

Remove the Translucent drainage cap and the water will start to drain out of the flood berm. You can also lift the end of the Guppy farthest from the drain hole or roll the tube tightly to squeeze water out. To drain water from the Black fill hole valve, you can depress the back-flow tab and water will come out.

There is one fill cap (black) covering the fill hole and one drainage cap (clear) on the other side of the tube.

The fill hole has a back flow preventer to stop water from coming out, if you need to release some water, press down to release water from the flood dam.

You can stagger the units, or purchase visqueen plastic sheeting to spans the two tubes and create a seal. Place the visqueen or similar plastic or pvc fabric material under the two tubes, inflate the tubes and the wrap the plastic sheeting around and over the two tubes, sealing them together. We suggest placing a sandbag over the plastic sheeting to secure the seal and keep it tight.
